Introducing Lee Dawson
Name: Lee Dawson
Community: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia
Position: Customer Service Specialist
As the newest member of the Rafflebox team, Lee is a Customer Service Specialist supporting the charity and non-profit organizations who partner with Rafflebox to raise funds. Lee works with licensing bodies, builds and maintains organization raffle pages, creates digital banner designs, and responds to support requests. Lee helps support organizations throughout their entire Rafflebox experience, so they can raise more funds for their worthy causes.
Lee’s passion to give back to community stems from his experience working in the health field. From his previous roles, Lee brings IT experience and immense knowledge and passion for healthcare to the Rafflebox team. He is enjoying being part of a team that helps organizations and communities thrive every day.
Animal welfare groups are an area of particular interest for Lee, where animals are close to his heart. His initial motivation to apply for a job with Rafflebox came after learning of their partnership with Hope for Wildlife, an organization that rescues and rehabilitates animals in need.
Born and raised in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, community has always been important to Lee. Investing in community through supporting the organizations on the Rafflebox platform is one easy way to show support and pay homage to where you are from. Lee loves the idea of helping these groups raise funds because, so often, these groups are helping to level the playing field for the most vulnerable populations.
One thing you may not know about Lee is that he has a particular interest in Canadian Maritime History. He is knowledgeable about most Canadian Maritime history, especially in court history.
His interest and expertise will soon take form as a passion project — podcast! Rafflebox is proud to welcome Lee to the team and we’ll be keeping an ear out for that podcast very soon.
